Arkansas City, Kan. -- Two men have been arrested on drug and child endangerment charges.
Arkansas City Police Captain Mark McCaslin says the Cowley County Drug Task Force began investigating the pair back in December after and eventually developed enough evidence to receive a search warrant for a home, located at 2013 Sunset Way in Arkansas City.
On Saturday, the drug task force, along with Arkansas City and Winfield Police executed a search warrant on the home. Inside they found evidence of methamphetamine sales and meth use. The drugs were found in a place that was easily accessible to two children who lived at the home.
Gregory Mott Erwin, 47, was booked into the Cowley County Jail on charges possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug sales paraphernalia, and aggravated endangerment of a child. He is being held on $15,000 bond.
Police also arrested 22-year-old Taylor Mott Erwin for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug use paraphernalia. He has been released on $6,000 bond.
Two girls ages 6 and 9 were living at the home at the time. They were released to the custody of other family.
