Topeka, Kan. -- Topeka Police have arrested two men, accused of burglarizing a home where three people were found shot to death Sunday.
Our news partners at WIBW-AM tell us that 23-year-old Jamal T. Booker of Topeka and 29-year-old Reginald M. Rucker, also of Topeka, were arrested on charges of burglary, theft, criminal damage and obstruction. The pair are believed to be responsible for burglarizing the home where 34-year-old Tamesha Lee, 43-year-old Eric Avery and 56-year-old Marvin Louis Woods were found shot to death Sunday.
Their bodies were found after Avery's 45-year-old sister, Carla Jean Avery, was found wounded outside a restaurant. She died Tuesday.
Police have not said whether the two men are believed to be connected to the homicide. Topeka Crime Stoppers is offering an $8,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
