One person is dead after an accident in Harper County. The accident happened at about 3:38 p.m. on State Highway 44 about 5 miles east of Anthony, Kansas Tuesday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, James Lee Grant Wilson, 30, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, was traveling eastbound on K44 when his vehicle went off the south side of the road. Wilson over-corrected back onto the highway before going back into the south ditch. The vehicle re-entered the highway and rolled into the north ditch before striking a tree and coming to rest on its wheels.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in Wilson's vehicle, Megan Rashell Hodson, 21, of Anthony was taken to Anthony Medical Center for treatment.
