The Old Town Warren Theatre has offered moviegoers a unique experience over the past five years. People can buy food and booze while watching the latest flick.
Customers can also visit Oscar's Sports Bar to catch the big game on a gigantic screen.
While many may think owner Bill Warren is making a fortune off this venture; in fact this theatre has been losing money every year it has been open.
On Tuesday, Warren plans to come before the Wichita City Council asking for a $6 million loan to keep the theatre's doors open.
With the money he wants to turn the current bar into a sixth theatre, convert to all digital projection and sound, and add on banquet space.
Warren also wants the city to lower how much it charges the theatre in parking fees from $10 to $7.50 a spot. But many council members are struggling over whether to loan the money.
