Kingman Police Chief Resigns; Pleads Guilty

The Kingman police chief has pleaded guilty to two charges in a case accusing him of terrorizing his girlfriend. A third charge has been dropped.

John Braden was arrested in April and charged with criminal threat, criminal restraint, and misdemeanor battery. Friday, he pleaded guilty to the criminal threat and battery charges in exchange for the criminal restraint charge being dropped.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in Kingman County District Court on July 3 at 9:30 a-m.
