I want to say thank you to all the students that helped develop the "Joe" Memorial. Last May I returned from year active duty assignment in Kabul, Afghanistan. What you have accomplished is wonderful, especially to those families who have lost a loved one. You accomplishment also states your desire and heart to America. Personally, you have made our countrymen and women aware to the pains of war, and hope should be their inspiration, to become participants in supporting our TROOPS in any endeavor. Your support made my duty easier, God Bless Our Troops and lets bring them HOME. Anyone wanting a presentation on Afghanistan may contact me (dbear729@msn.com). Monies collected will be set to the PAO at Camp Phoenix in Kabul.

They did not contact us and we had a soldier die in 2004, sad that they have left someone out!

I attended the memorial this morning. I thought that the middle school young men and women did a wonderful job of honoring the fallen heroes. My son was Spc. David J. Lane and he died on Sept. 4,2007

A beautiful tribute to the men and women who have given everything for us. I hope that the families will feel the support of a community and realize that their sons/daughters will never be forgotten for what they've done for their country. To all the families of our "Fallen Soldiers", thank you and God Bless you all.

I want to commend these students on their project. I'm a Veteran of the War, and personally know a couple of those Fallen Soldiers they researched. I think it's a very honorable way to remember them. Thank you very much.

That is AWSOME!! I think it's great that these student, thanks to their teacher, are recognizing the sacrifice these soldiers made. Even more so.. I think it's very touching that they are looking at them as individuals. Good job guys!!
