hwo many people are on each buss? if they are only half full, why keep buying the latest large busses when they could be buying smaller more fuel efficient busses?

Keep the transit system open twenty four seven and raise the bus fare up to two dollars. Another thing they could do is enforce the rule of the bus being the only transportation available to people taking the bus because people take bikes and mopeds on the bus and it needs to stop. People need to only ride the bus if they are going more than one or two blocks. The transit needs to be used as needed. Bus drivers for the transit need to be more polite because the drivers are very rude.

The wichita transit just needs to learn how to run a public business that involves vehicles better. If they knew what raise the bus fare some, then they would have the money they are asking the city for. Their wanting the money to stay in business, so it's their problem and not the city of wichita's problem. If it was the city's problem, that would be a different story. There is several way's that they can get the money besides begging the city for it. They can do a fundraiser, raise bus fare, ectera, they just don't need to beg the city of wichita for it. Maybe if they can't afford the gas, then maybe they should just get rid of the buses and go out of business and find different jobs. The taxi companies aren't begging the city for money, so the wichita transit needs to take a lesson from the taxi companies and not beg the city for the money.

maybe the wichita bus system would not need more money if they would stay open 24/7 like other cities
