Kingman Police Chief John Braden appeared in court this morning to hear criminal charges against him.

Prosecutors have charged Braden with criminal threat, criminal restraint and battery. The charges stem from an April incident with a woman Braden had been dating for a couple of months.

Braden is currently on administrative leave.

Braden declined comment before he entered the courtroom this morning. He faces a preliminary hearing in three weeks.
