the senate passed the bill last night, with very little fanfare. best senate money can buy.

Hope the gov will stick to her guns on the coal plants. I don't believe that the good will outweigh the bad in the long run. Tieing the plants to other issues only shows how desperate they are.

How many times does Kathy have to veto these bills before they get the idea? How can Greensburg go "green" if the coal plant's upwind from them? Let Colorado generate their own dirty energy.

With so many things that need to be addressed in Kansas - They are still messing with the coal plants - We Kansans need to say STOP - or your fired! This is unexceptable - I guess they don't feel they have to do what 2/3's of what voters in Kansas think.

The answer to that question is pretty simple Cliff, they are representing themselves. They care about nothing, except for their own agendas and profits. To them "going green" is seeing more cash lining the insides of their wallets.

the finance bill also provides funding for these plants. Why is our legislature so interested in getting the power plants built? when most or all of the power goes to colorado, we will pay for building it. and just watch our rates will increase for electricity as well as the polution. who's representing who?
