Marijuana Crop Found in Backyard
August 24 - A Wichita couple is busted for allegedly growing marijuana right outside their house. Police found at least 20 large marijuana plants in the backyard of a the house in the 2200 block of south glenn.
Carol Roets says she couldn't believe it when she saw huge marijuana plants protruding past her neighbor's fence. It didn't take long for others spot it either. Someone eventually tipped of the police.
SCAT officers moved in and rounded up the plants, along with the couple who lives there. Neighbors say they're just glad the drugs are gone. The couple face charges of marijuana cultivation and possession.
