The Butler County Sheriff's Department has identified the woman killed Saturday evening after a tragic ATV accident. 53 year-old Connie Farmer was discovered in a pasture near SW 160th and Tawakoni Road just after 6:00 p-m. Sheriff Sergeant Luke Grimes says it's not clear when the accident may have happened.
Paramedics rushed Farmer to Kansas Medical Center in Andover. She was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Grimes says it appears the woman was riding alone and was not wearing a helmet. The 4-wheeler rolled over on top of her as she was feeding some animals.
Earlier Saturday, a teenager was killed in a car accident south of Leon on Chelsea Road. 18 year-old Michael Measles of Grenola lost control as he rounded a curve in the roadway.
The vehicle rolled over and Measles was thrown out, according to deputies. He was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:00 a-m.
