The Wichita Wingnuts have moved on to the "Elite Eight" in the CNBC Sports Biz blog's Minor League Baseball Logo Contest.

The logo, created by Associated Advertising Company, was chosen as one of the 64 best minor league baseball team logos in the country.

The logo has made it through the first three rounds of online voting and, now that it's in the "Elite Eight" it needs Wichita's help to keep going!

Joe Robertson, creator of the Wingnuts' logo says, "I think that's a cool thing about the Wichita Wingnuts being the first year out. It's an unusual name and the logo's kind of fun. I believe we have a chance of getting into the 'Elite Eight.' That would be nice."

The logo is OK, but what a name for a baseball team. If it's aviation related; Where's a wing-nut on an airplane?

It does not work. What I did was go to their web site at: www.cnbc.com click on the 'minor league logo contest' towards the center of the page.

It worked for me. You might have not pasted it correctly. Who knows it could have been CNBC's website.
