A Lyons man has died after a head on collision in Rice County.
It happened on U.S. 56, about two miles east of Lyons, around 9:10 p.m. Thursday.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Luis Gonzales, 55, was driving west, when his vehicle crossed the center-line. He struck a pickup truck head-on.
Gonzales died at the scene. The pickup truck driver, Jimmy Bound, 65, also of Lyons, was taken to a Wichita hospital for treatment. Bound remains in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
