Police Searching For Suspects In City's Latest Homicide

Wichita police are searching for suspects in connection to the city's latest homicide.

Authorities were called to the scene in the 800 block of S. Erie just before 11 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators found Pheng Xiong, 35, dead inside the home. Officials said he had a large laceration to his neck, although a cause of death has not yet been released.

Police are looking for a woman who may have picked up Xiong's roommate at a nearby Dollar General, around the time of Xiong's death.

This is the 15th homicide of the year.

Wichita police are investigating a suspicious death on the city's east side.

Authorities on scene say a neighbor called 911 this morning after seeing a distraught woman leave a residence in the 800 block of South Erie Street.

Police arrived on scene shortly before 11:00 a.m. and found a man in his mid 30s dead inside the home. It was reported he suffered some sort of trauma, but no other details were released.

A woman in her 20s has been taken in for questioning.
