Two people are seriously hurt in a single car rollover accident near downtown Wichita.

Just after 10:30 p.m. Monday, Wichita police say an officer was trying to stop a speeding car when he came across a car that had rolled over on the eastbound Kellogg ramp to Southbound I-135.

Police said the driver was driving too fast on the curve, when he lost control of his vehicle, hit a concrete abutment and metal post.

The officer found two people inside. The 21-year-old driver was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for a broken pelvis. The passenger was treated for a minor head injury.

Officials do not believe that their injuries appear to be life-threatening.

The crash remains under investigation.
