The mystery of a foot found in a South Hutchinson parking lot has been solved. It turns out the foot wasn't a human foot.

South Hutchinson police received a call from a person today who admitted he discarded a bear's foot in the parking lot yesterday. The person told police he saw reports of the found foot on television.

The man told police he was tired of carrying the foot around, so he dumped it out of his car.

The foot was found in the Alco parking lot last night. Workers who saw the decomposing foot thought it was human.
