Police Search For East Wichita Bank Robbery Suspect

Police have released a surveillance photo of the man who robbed an east Wichita bank on Saturday.

Officials say the man robbed the Emprise Bank at 6030 E. Central just after 9:30 a.m.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Wichita Police Department Robbery Section at 316-268-4177 or email dbinkley@wichita.gov.

Wichita police are searching for a man who robbed the Emprise Bank in the 6000 block of East Central this morning.

911 Dispatch reports a man walked into the bank just after 9:30 a.m. and threatened tellers with an unknown weapon. He left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed southwest on foot.

No customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery, and no one was injured.

Authorities are looking for a black male in in his 40s or 50s, around 6'1" and 185 pounds, with facial hair and wearing a dark shirt and a straw hat.
