A man is expected to recover after being shot outside a Wichita apartment. The shooting was reported at 6:00 a.m. Friday in the 8900 block of East Harry.
A 25-year-old man told police he was sitting outside his apartment when another man walked up and asked if he could borrow a cell phone. The man who walked up pulled a gun and shot the 25-year-old in the chest. The victim was taken to Via Christi Health-St. Francis.
The gunman has been described as Hispanic, 25 years old, 5'8" and 180 pounds. He was wearing dark jeans and a dark shirt with white lettering. He has a goatee and a shaved head.
