Fireworks stands across Kansas are expected to open Wednesday, kicking off the start to an All-American holiday.
There are a few new booms this year to help viewers get the most bang out of their buck.
“I think we have over 50 or 60 new items this year,” said Jacob Marietta, Wholesale Fireworks manager.
The new fireworks won’t only light up the night sky, but will add new flare. Shades like neon orange, baby blue, hot pink, and neon green are expected to be big sellers.
“We've taken the new colors, and added it to the old effects to really you know brighten up and give different effects to the same old stuff," Marietta said.
While snakes, sparklers and bottle rockets may be seasonal favorites, a new firework finale is expected to create a big bang.
“It's called loyal to none, and it's got 33 different rounds, all different shapes, all different sizes, and to top it off, three big ones at the very end,” Marietta said. The ‘big one’ will cost about $50.
“But it’s worth every penny,” she said.
Local officials remind residents to shoot fireworks where they buy them, and to follow ordinances. In Wichita, people can legally shoot off fireworks from June 27 through July 5 from 6 a.m. until Midnight.
