Bank Robbery Reported In Small Kansas Town

Sumner County authorities are investigating a reported armed bank robbery at a small Kansas community.

It happened at Emerald Bank, 305 E. Main, in Oxford around 10:20 a.m. Thursday.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said a man walked into the bank, flashed a handgun, and demanded money. He left in an unknown direction. It is unknown if he drove away.

The suspect is described a a white man, last seen wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, and camo pants. Authorities said the man wore a ski mask into the bank. The weapon was described as a dark colored pistol.
