One woman has died and two were injured in a rollover accident in Lincoln County.

It happened just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday, about 15 miles east of Ellsworth on I-70.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a tire failure occurred on a Chevy passenger car while it was eastbound through a construction zone on I-70. The driver then lost control of the vehicle and it rolled, ejecting one of the passengers.

52-year-old Janine Reed, of Minerva, Ohio, was transported to a Salina Hospital, where she died a short time later. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, she was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the car, Adam Reed, 27, and a third passenger, George Reed, 50, both residents of Minerva, were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are unknown.
