The suspended director of the Kansas Water office
will stand trial on charges of sexually assaulting a woman.

Shawnee County District Judge Eric Rosen ruled yesterday that
Alan Ledoux of Holton will be tried on charges of rape, aggravated
kidnapping, aggravated criminal sodomy and aggravated burglary.

There's no trial date yet.

In a preliminary hearing yesterday, LeDoux cried as the woman
described her attack on the night of May 22 in her Topeka home. She
said an attacker woke her up, bound her with tape and sexually
assaulted her.

LeDoux, who is 55, is on leave without pay from his state post.
He's free on 50-thousand dollars bond.
