Arkansas authorities have found wreckage near the area where a plane from Wichita disappeared. Authorities spotted the wreckage 10 miles northwest of Mena, Arkansas.
The plane belongs to Raytheon Credit Corporation. It took off from Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport Monday morning and disappeared from radar just east Mena. There were three people on board.
City of Wichita spokeswoman Latricia Harper says that was the plane's destination. She also says the pilot didn't file a flight plan before leaving Wichita, so she doesn't know when the plane took off or when it was supposed to land.
Officials in Polk County, AR, say the plane disappeared from their radar about 20 miles to the east of Mena, which is a very dense and remote part of the Ouachita Mountains.
