But it's a task made easy with Christmas spirit.
A spirit a so-called "Grinch" is trying to steal away. Hitting Scott's house three times so far, the thieves have taken one of Scott's toy soldier figurines and all the lights strung across his fence.
Police say there's not much you can do to keep Scrooges from stealing Christmas at your house because cases are isolated.
But to Scott it's not the money or even the time, it's what these thieves are taking away from his audience that counts.
