Girls Hurt In Jet Ski Collision Recovering

Officials say two girls who hurt in a jet ski collision over the weekend on El Dorado Lake are expected to recover from their injuries.

Butler County Game Warden Tyson Nielsen says one girl suffered less severe injuries and has been released from the hospital. The other girl had surgery for her injuries and is recovering.

The girls' names have not been released.

Two teenage girls were taken to a Wichita hospital after a jet ski collision at El Dorado Lake.

It happened around 10:20 a.m. Officials with the El Dorado Police Department say two girls, between the ages of 12 and 13, were riding jet skis and collided. A passerby saw the accident and took the girls in his boat to meet EMS at the shore.

Both girls were transported to Wesley Medical Center, one by ground, the other by helicopter, where they are both listed in critical but stable condition.

No names have been released.
