One day after the sudden resignation of Kansas State Fair manager Bill Ogg, a member of the fair board also has quit in protest.
In his resignation notice on Wednesday, Bob Barker said the action of the board was too extreme.
After meeting several times in executive session, the board unanimously accepted Ogg's resignation. Ogg has been the State Fair manager since 1997.
Ogg told the Hutchinson News his resignation involves charges he took lumber from a demolished fairgrounds barn. He says all of the materials have been returned.
