11-Year-Old Arrested In Northeast Wichita Cutting

An 11-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to a cutting in northeast Wichita Friday Afternoon.

Wichita Police Sgt. Scott Brunow says a 34-year-old man who works for the Urban League broke up a fight between at least two boys at Murdock Park in the 1900 block of N. Minnesota.

A boy later returned with a knife, confronted the Urban League employee, and then cut him in the face.

The victim did not sustain serious injuries, and the boy was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

No names have been released.
