A thunderstorm watch has been issued for the southwest and south central parts of Kansas.
Meteorologist Hallie Shulman says the main threat with these storms are large hail and strong winds. They are also expected to produce heavy rain and lightning.
Currently, two clusters of storms to the west and south are moving north and east and expected to merge and head north through KAKEland as the night progresses. These storms are expected to hit the Wichita area around midnight.
Keep it on KAKE for continuing coverage of these thunderstorms.
