Salina police are working to determine whether a toddler's injuries could the result of child abuse.
Lt. Scott Siemsen says just after 3:30 p.m. Monday a neighbor called 911 to report an 18-month-old girl was not breathing. Emergency crews found the child with her mother in their home in the 600 block of Gypsum Avenue.
The girl was flown to a Wichita hospital where her condition is unknown at this time. Siemsen says the child is undergoing tests to determine how she received her injuries.
The child's mother is not in police custody. Their names have not been released.
