Maybe the patients of Schneider's clinic should help him and his wife get out of jail by paying for the lawyer. Start donations or something....if he was good to you, then be kind and give back to him during his time of need. He went to jail for every one of you so I'm sure you guys can come up with a dollar or two. It adds up!

Lets see, you can be indicated for eating a ham sandwich, with the government having unlimited funding at their disposal. Now with the patients he has that have come forward as to his practice, the governt had to prove that those that "died" did so at his instructions. Lets see, you are prescribed pain pills that say one every 4 hrs, you take 2 every 2 hours and have an adverse reaction to the medication, or die. Who's fault is that. The dr's for prescribing the pill to you and not following the pharmasits instructions or yours for tryin to buzz off them. They have to prove that he provided them with the intent of killing his patients and they died from proper use...cant ask a dead person how many did ya take. Think the jury will be out on this one for a while....at the expense of his life's savings, repuation, ect ect, while the government has unlimited funding.....Give him a break and look at the rail roading going on here....

The govenment seized all the schneiders bank accouts and took all their vehicles including his hummer, about a week or so before they were taken in, so they cant get acsess to any of their money, so how are they supposed to pay? you people need to learn the facts before you start makeing ignorant comments.

All you people on Mr. & Mrs. Schneider don't stop to think about how many people the have helped or in my case saved my life. You need to look at the people that died and test to make sure they only had what they were prescribed. That means no other medication and most of all the right leaves of medication. This could and has happened to other doctor but we don't see you put any other doctor in jail or blaming them. Mr.Schneider can't go home with every patient to make sure they take there medication like they are told to. You tell me who else that needed a court appointed attorney; that the court check to make sure that they could pay for there own. In that case they should do credit checks to make sure that anyone could get a loan or sell something to pay for there own attorney but they don't they are just being singled out Mr. & Mrs. Schneider & that against there Constitutional Rights. You cannot blame them or you better blame every other Doctor that has lost a patient.

I really wish people would get their facts straight. try being intelligent enough to follow the facts of this case and quit embellishing the story to suit yourselves. this is a tragic case of a doctor being railroaded because people do not want to accept responsibility for their own actions. this case is a waste of everyone's time...it is being used to make a name for politicians with higher aspirations and wanting to make a name for themselves. how sad the system is! some justice!

You have got to be kidden me! Dr. Schneider can't afford an attorney??? Give me a break...ya know, maybe his family should sell his nice little hummer so he can afford an attorney!!!!! I have no pity on them people. He can walk around in front of camera's like a big shot with his pretty little hummer but all he can do is boo hooo hooo for attention sitting in jail.

Those funds for legal counsel should only be used for people not able to pay for it only. A doctor not able to afford their own counsel come on what about the four patients that died and their families. I think they should sue the doctorand his practice. Usually I'm against all suing over anything.
