Roger Valadez would like to know why police were looking in his mouth for BTK. Valadez would also like police to clear his name, now that they say they've arrested the real BTK.
Tuesday morning Roger Valadez' attorney filed a motion for disclosure of information in Valadez' case. In short Valadez would like to know what led the police to him in the first place. Roger Valadez has been looking for answers to his questions since that night the police came to his house. Now his attorney Dan Monnat is relying on this motion to get them. On December 1, 2004 swarms of officers executed a search warrant at the home of Roger Valadez. Although police never officially called Valadez a suspect in the BTK case, his DNA was obtained and compared to DNA left behind at BTK crime scenes. News of the search and arrest leaked almost immediately, Roger Valadez' life would be forever changed.
However by the next morning investigators were not so sure that Valadez was their man. That evening police chief Norman Williams would let the world know, there has been no arrest in the BTK case.
Monnat says the probable cause affidavits and everything else relating to this case were sealed by the court due to the ongoing BTK investigation. Now that there has been an arrest Monnat and his client Valadez want everything disclosed, including what evidence police were looking for on the search warrant. Valadez also wants his DNA sample returned, more importantly he wants something to help him to understand why this happened to him.
