A southwest Kansas woman accused of
illegally using the Internet to look at grades of high school honor
students makes a deal with prosecutors.

In a diversion agreement, 44-year-old Diana Boaldin of Elkhart
paid a $1,000 fee and promised to stay out of legal trouble for a
year in exchange for dismissal of charges.

Boaldin was charged with one felony and several misdemeanors in
Morton County District Court after officials found she had accessed
PowerSchool, a records service used by Elkhart's USD 218.

She was accused of logging on to the service 68 times in the
three-month period using the usernames and passwords of two honor
students. PowerSchool is used by several schools in Kansas to give
parents and students access to grades and other school data from
the Internet.
