November 5 - One person is critically hurt in a drive-by shooting in a Planeview neighborhood.
Police say the shooting is gang-related, and may be connected to a homicide that happened in the same area, in May.
It happened around 2:00pm Friday, near 31st South and Pawnee. Witnesses say they saw a car pull up and heard at least two gunshots. A Hispanic man in his early 20s was shot.
The same neighborhood has been the scene of two homicides in the past three years. Police say all the crime is gang-related.
Police say the man who was shot was recently released from jail on weapons charge, and is connected to a homicide that happened in the same block back in May.
There were two people involved in the shooting. Police say one fled on foot and has not been found. The other was captured a short time after the shooting, when police stopped a vehicle a few blocks away.
The victim was taken to the hospital. His name is not being released.
