Massage Parlors Busted In Prostitution Investigation
Eight local massage parlors have been shut down as the result of a Wichita Police prostitution investigation.

Eight local massage parlors have been shut down as the result of a Wichita Police prostitution investigation.

The investigation began three months ago, when a citizen reported suspicious activity at a business in the 2200 block of North Ridge Road.

The citizen observed girls arriving early in the morning and late at night, and fights in the parking lot. "This is another example of how citizens can help police fight and solve crimes in the area," said Deputy Police Chief Tom Stolz.

Police arrested three people for promoting prostitution and seven women for prostitution. The 7 women arrested for prostitution are all Chinese refugees here legally on refugee visas.
