AG Six To Be Featured Speaker At 9/11 Ceremony

Kansas Attorney General Steve Six is to be the featured speaker Saturday morning at a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at the VFW Park in Leavenworth.

Gov. Mark Parkinson also will address the audience before introducing Six. Other speakers include Leavenworth County Commissioner J.C. Tellefson and Fort Leavenworth Garrison Commander Col. Wayne Green.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. and will also include a flag-retirement ceremony by a local Boy Scout group.

Leavenworth Main Street and VFW Post 56 organized the ceremony.
