A new exhibit at a Wichita museum features two inventions that were developed in the city but never became commercial successes.

The Wichita Eagle reports that one of the attractions at the Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum is the "Hop Rod" — a motorized pogo stick that was built by Chance Manufacturing in the late 1960s.

Also on display is the Exermatic exercise machine, which claimed it could "exercise every muscle in the body."

The exhibit, titled "Why We Collect, What We Collect," also includes some items that commemorate the Cold War era.

Visitors can check out the items on the second floor of the museum through Sept. 26.
