WICHITA, Kan-- Thieves stripped $100,000 worth of copper piping from a building in south Wichita, and other buildings could be targeted.
The manager of the property at 1607 S. Georgetown discovered the damage. The building used to house a Dillons grocery store.
Thieves cut wires and left holes in the building. Police said it appears the thieves had been working inside the building for some time.
Police said empty buildings need to be checked on a regular basis.
