The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office has released the identity of a woman who was killed in an accident while riding her motorcycle near Park City last week.

Investigators say 42-year-old Dawn Pruitt of Park City was southbound on Hydraulic Thursday afternoon when she was hit by a semi whose driver failed to stop at a stop sign at 45th Street North.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman has been killed in an accident involving a semi truck and a motorcycle.

The accident happened shortly before 3 p.m. at 45th Street North and Hydraulic near Park City. According to Sedgwick County sheriff investigators, a 42-year-old woman was riding a motorcycle southbound on Hydraulic, when they believe an eastbound semi truck ran the stop sign and hit her. North/South traffic does not have to stop at that intersection.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released. No one else was hurt.
