- Posted By: : I find the ASV and the NIV to be easier to understand than the original KJV. I don't understand the uproar. As long as nothing gets lost in translation, there shouldn't be anything wrong with reading a Bible that's easy to understand.

The KJV was coppied and translated from the catholic latin version of the bible. Done by order by King James so even english speakers could read it. The original is not even latin. Youd think people this afraid of books would also be too afraid to be outside on a night supposedly belonging to their nemesis. 1. Do you honestly believe "Jesus" (as your choice of translation calls him) spoke the English language as it was known during Shakespeare's time?
2. Is a bible printed in any language other than English also on your black list?
3. Are any of your church members capable of reading the scriptures in their pre-KJV form, if so, are those also blacklisted?
- Posted By: : King James was a homosexual. He wanted peace between the Anglicans, Puritans and the Roman Catholics and he gave orders to the translators to use ecclesiastical language (e.g. "church", "bishop", "deacon"). There are many errors in the KJV which the New KJV and others correct.

We just got to beleive in God and he will show us what is true. It says it in all versions, He is the way the truth and light.
- Posted By: : The bible has been rewritten so many times I don't think anybody can say what the true version is. I think even the King James version is disputed on how it was rewritten also. Plus now you have a conservative group that wants to also rewrite the Bible to fit its view of being right.
