Spring's warmer temperatures is bringing on tree blossoms, flowers and green grass. But spring also brings on pollen which can stir up allergies for many people.
A spokesman for the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, Dr. Clifford Basset, was quoted in a Forbes story that this will be the worst allergy season ever due to climate factors.
Wichitan Linda Graham visited with local allergist Dr. Van Strickland to find out what allergies are afflicting her.
Dr. Strickland says, "I don't think it's (allergy season) has gotten started in full swing yet. Everything is sort of moderate. We're looking at tree pollens and mold now. Later comes grass and weed pollens."
The allergist says he's seeing a small pickup in patients now and expects more patients to come in later.
