A new study tracks obesity county by county, in Kansas and across the country.

The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation found 39 percent of Sedgwick County's women are obese. That compares with 34.9 percent of the men.

The men are below the Kansas state average of 35.8 percent, while the women are above the 36.1 percent for all of Kansas.

Wyandotte County's women had the worst score, with 50.1 percent obesity.

The report also estimates life expectancy on a county-by-county basis. Sedgwick County women can expect to live 79.8 years, compared with 75.4 years for men. Johnson County men and women have the longest life expectancy.
