Weather-related accidents have sent many people to the hospital during and after the snow storm that hit KAKEland this week.
Motor vehicle accidents and slips and falls accounted for the majority of those visits to Via Christi's three emergency rooms in the past three days.
Via Christi reported 23 visits related to motor vehicle accidents and 14 visits related to slips and falls.
Another five were a result of shoveling injuries.
"It's classically one of the things that will bring on a heart attack," said Robert Stangl, Medical Director for Via Christi's emergency rooms. "If you are working too hard, getting short of breath, sweaty, developing any kind of chest discomfort, it's time to stop."
The emergency rooms also saw three people come in with injuries from sledding accidents.
