The University of Kansas is asking students who are suffering from H1N1 flu to stay home until they are well.

As of Monday night, KU reported 47 possible cases and university officials are asking its 27,000 students to take action to avoid it.

Students with the virus are being asked to stay home until their temperature is normal for 24 hours. Those living in dormitories are being told to stay in their rooms and limit contact with other students.

University spokesman Todd Cohen says roommates of ill students will be moved out of dorm rooms, and the students will have food brought to them.

No buildings have been closed and no closings are anticipated.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
