Community Meeting In Hutch To Provide Input On National Health Care

By: Associated Press Email

A community meeting in Hutchinson is one many taking place across the nation at the request of President-elect Barack Obama.

The gathering Tuesday night will allow area residents to provide input and ideas about the future of health care. Obama is seeking ideas for his transitional health care team, and results of the meetings will be forwarded to Tom Daschle, secretary-designate for Health and Human Services.

Participants will discuss how they envision health care in the 21st century, what their ideal health care system would look like, problems they see in the current system and any solutions they'd suggest.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Metropolitan Coffee, 1329 E. 17th Ave.
