KAKEland's Chris Frank is unique in many ways, but it's his signature charging of the camera has generated questions from curious viewers. Why does he do it?

Good question.

Chris says it's because he's a one-man-band, acting as both the reporter and photographer for all his stories.

"We broadcast to a generation with a short attention span, the MTV generation wants camera movement all the time. Since I work by myself, I don't have a photojournalist moving the camera like you," said Chris. "I try to find a motivated way to walk to the camera and just to get some movement."

Chris has been doing the walk-and-talk camera charge for a long time. He makes it look easy but, as Chris can tell you, it's not. He says technology and his loss of hair have made a little easier than it was when he started 30 years ago.

"It use to take many takes because my hair would blow, but I'm past that. Free at last," said Frank.
