In this week's Mommy Monday we have advice on how to talk to your teen about sex.

According to pediatricians at keepkishealthy.com, you should carefully think about how you are going to begin talking about sex with your teenager. He/she may have questions before you are even ready to talk about the topic.

When the questions do begin, you should provide explanations that are brief and to the point.

If your teen hasn't started to ask questions, you will have to bring up subjects like pregnancy or birth control.

Always keep your child's age and maturity level in mind when providing answers and don't overwhelm him/her with too much about these subjects.

It is up to you how much information to share at one time. Remember your child will learn about these subjects. It is up to you where they learn it from so that you can make sure he/she is getting accurate information.
