About 2 pounds fresh strawberries
3 Tablespoons corn starch
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 teaspoon salt
1 cup granulated sugar
1 baked pie crust
Crush about 10 medium strawberries and put them in a small pan. Add water, corn starch, lemon juice, sugar and salt. Cook on medium heat stirring constantly until mixture boils slightly and thickens (about 5 minutes). Cool.
Place remaining strawberries in the pie shell in a tower formation.
After strawberry mixture is somewhat cool, pour it on top of pie.
Can cover with whipped cream if you wish.
