Bacon, Onion, & Cheese Stuffed Turkey Burger
1.5 pounds ground turkey
1 tablespoon A-1 sauce
1 whole egg
1/2 cup bread crumbs soaked in milk
Chopped cooked bacon
Caramelized onions from 2 medium onions
4 slices of Monterey Jack Cheese
Salt & Pepper to taste
In a bowl, combine turkey, A-1, salt, pepper, egg and soaked breadcrumbs. Mix very well to incorporate all the ingredients.
Prepare the grill to medium heat.
Form 8 even, thin patties about 1/2 inch thick and set aside.
On 4 of the patties, place a slice of cheese. It's okay if the cheese corners show outside the pattie. In the center of each pattie, place a spoonful of bacon and onions. Place the other pattie on top and form, so the edges are closed.
Refrigerate 1 hour before placing on the grill for approximately 4 minutes on each side.
Place burger on a bun and garnish with lettuce, tomato and slice of pickle. Offer your guests ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise as garnish.
