Legendary Stuffed Cheese Burgers
8 ounces -80/20 Ground Beef (2 four-ounce patties)
1 ounce cheese (your choice) American, Pepper Jack, Swiss Provolone, Gouda
1 each hamburger bun
1 slice onion (red)
1 slice of tomato
1 tsp. Hamburger seasoning (equal parts of garlic powder, onion powder, white pepper, salt)
1 ounce Homey's Burger Sauce (equal parts of mayo, ketchup, A-1 Sauce mixed thoroughly)
Flatten out the hamburger patties using the back of a large plate until about 6 inches diameter.
Season both patties.
On one pattie, layer the onion, then cheese, then tomato.
Lay the remaining pattie on top of the other and fold the edges of the bottom pattie over the top pattie to seal everything inside. This is important to keep the cheese from leaking out.
Toast hamburger bun.
Cook burger to 155 degrees or your personal preference, top with Homey's sauce and enjoy.
