Wichita Residents Help Police Catch Burglar

Two residents in the 300 block of N. Bluff helped Wichita Police catch a burglar Tuesday afternoon.

One resident reported seeing a suspicious 4-door white car that appeared to be casing the neighborhood. He wrote down the car's tag number and a good description of the suspect. He called police after seeing the suspect walking to his car carrying several items.

Another resident reported seeing a man carrying a chainsaw and weed eater. She took a picture of the man carrying those items and later discovered that the items were stolen from her shed.

Police were able to use the photos and tag number to identify the suspect. He was found in the area of 2nd and Bluff.

He has been identified as 42-year-old Eric A. Todd. He was booked on counts of burglary and theft as well as unlawful possession of marijuana.
